Commission Policies & Process
Please read before sending your request through the google form here. If the form is not open, then commissions are closed at the moment.
If you have questions, you can DM me on twitter @hasuyawwn or email me at makkurohasu@gmail.com.

Policies
Payment.

Payment is done via Paypal invoices, currency is in USD.
Full payment is required upfront before I start your commission.

References.

If your OC doesn't have a proper visual reference, please try to find references for their features (hairstyle, tattoos, etc) and clothes/accessories. Either from google images, or a hastily doodled pencil sketch, it doesn't matter. They don't have to be exact, but I want something to work off of.
For example, if they wear a "black coat", then send me a picture of a coat you like, then tell me any adjustments you want (such as, "don't include the belt," or "make it knee-length," etc). Ideally, I would like all the reference images pasted into a single image/pdf with descriptive text (something like this reference) or a single folder with labeled filenames.

Revisions.

All commissions EXCEPT FOR "CASUAL" STYLE AND "SHOULDERS-UP" OF ANY STYLE allow for up to two (2) revisions of the preview sketch. This does not include any revisions arising from errors on my part, like forgotten design details (tattoos, accessories, etc). It is extremely difficult to change things after the piece is finished, so please try to catch what you want changed during the preview sketch step.

I do not work with exact colors, so if you want eyedropper precision, please consider commissioning someone else.

Backgrounds.

By default, backgrounds will be solid color (or white/transparent. Please notify me if you have a preference)
Simple backgrounds (ie, bedsheets for dakimakura-esque poses) are free of charge.
Full/environmental backgrounds...can be negotiated. References must be provided for me to even consider.

Contact & Updates.

When I email to confirm your slot, I will give 7 days to respond before I move on to the next person. If you respond after the 7 days (but before I start a new cycle), I will still take it, but you will be on the lowest priority of the slots I have accepted. If you would like to delay your spot, just let me know.

Unfortunately, I will not be going through and sending rejection emails for requests I won't be taking.
Some possible reasons for my not taking a request:
-
Seems too complicated/out of my skill range (ie, detailed armor/mechanical objects/live-action characters)
-
Sometimes I just hate a character (from whatever fandoms I've been in) so bad that I don't even want to see them
-
I needed to revise my prices/policies, so I cut the waistlist short

I only send updates for preview sketches. If you'd like to ask about the status of your commission otherwise, just send me an email whenever. Most commissions are finished within 3 weeks of payment. Email is my preferred/most-checked form of contact.

Refunds.

Refunds are allowed up to the preview sketch stage (where applicable). No refunds after the sketch has been approved, full refunds for ones that I haven't started. This is because once the sketch is approved, I usually work quickly on the rest of it.
If I am somehow unable to complete your commission within ~3 months, a full refund is available.
Other.
If you'd like to know if it's possible to get your request done by a certain date, just ask. However, I would not recommend commissioning me if you need something less than a month from the request date.
Submitting a form is NOT a commitment, you are free to change your request (of course, I still have to approve it) or back out completely when I email you to confirm your slot.
You are free to post your commission wherever with credit. I may use your (watermarked) commission as a commission example in the future. If you would prefer that I keep your commission private, please tick the related box on the commission form (this will not have any bearing on the cost of the commission).
Process
After the client submits their form, I will pick requests and send emails.
I will only email and invoice the client when I expect to have enough time within the next 2-3 weeks to finish their commission. This means that some clients will have to wait over a month for me to contact them and send an invoice. I apologize if this makes planning/budgeting difficult, but I don't want to make promises I can't keep nor hold a payment for too long without being able to finish the commission.

I accept 2-4 commissions at a time, depending on their type and my free time.

You may contact me to ask for a timeframe of if/when I might get to you, but I can't give any guarantees. I typically dump the waitlist and start a new cycle after 3-4 months, usually to adjust prices or policies.

When I send you the email to confirm your interest in commissioning me, I will also notify you of any price changes due to complicated designs or props, and ask for clarification if anything confuses me. If you wish to change your request or back out, you may do so.

After the price has been confirmed, I will send an invoice. Once that is paid, I will start on the request as soon as I can.
If the request is either a "casual" style or "shoulder-up" of any kind, I will work straight to the finished piece. For anything other than those, I will send a preview sketch for approval first.
